About Fuel’s Steve Brown

Co-founder Steve Brown is an athletic success coach specializing in helping athletes perform their best when it matters most by working with them to apply concepts of elite performance and resilience. He is the Director of Wellness at St. John’s Prep in Danvers, MA, and a mental skills coach for the Home Base Warrior Health and Fitness Program.

Steve teams up with leaders in coaching and develop to bring the most pertinent content to Fuel athletes in order to best impact their growth. Prior to Fuel Steve previously worked as a Master Resilience Trainer-Performance Expert for the US Army’s Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness program, where he worked with Soldiers to build mental toughness and resilience.

Steve Brown’s Background.

  • Masters Degree in Counseling and Sport Psychology from Boston University
  • Bachelor of Arts Degree from Westfield State University
  • Certificate of Advanced Professional Study in Counseling: Salem State University
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA
  • Member of the Applied Association for Sport Psychology

Home Base Program:
Conducts workshops on performance topics including motivation, mindset, and stress management. Also leads a Resilient Warrior course designed to reduce the impact of stress through a variety of mind-body techniques as well as skill-building exercises.

Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness:
Coached soldiers to leverage concepts of elite performance and resilience in high leverage situations. Primary content areas included attention control, building confidence, energy management, goal setting and imagery.
